Equity Multiple

Equity Multiple is a metric that calculates the expected or achieved total return on an initial investment, and can be calculated by dividing the total cash distributed by a real estate investment by the total equity invested. As an example, if a property had an equity multiple of 3x, that would mean a real estate investor would expect to receive 3 times as much money as they originally invested into that project.
